Working with Volunteers Study – Share your experience managing episodic volunteers

As part the Australian Research Council Linkage Project on episodic volunteers, Griffith University alongside research partners Cancer Council Queensland, the Union for International Cancer Control, the American Cancer Society, and Volunteering Queensland have developed an online survey to explore and better understand the management of these individuals within the non-profit sector.

Episodic volunteering refers to volunteering that is flexible, short-term, occasional or once-off, such as event volunteering (e.g. a charity bike ride). This unique group of volunteers is essential to supporting the work of non-profit organisations. This study seeks to explore the way episodic volunteers are managed and thus develop strategies for non-profit organisations to improve their volunteer management practices.

Volunteer managers or coordinators are invited to participate in a short online survey to share their views about episodic volunteering.
