Q. When will winners be announced?

A. Winners will be presented at the Health and Community Services Workforce Innovation Awards Gala Dinner at the Hilton Hotel Brisbane on Thursday 31 May 2012.

  

Q. How do I know if I'm a finalist?

A. Finalists will be notified directly by phone during the week commencing Monday 23 April. Nominees who are not selected as finalists will be notified by email before Wednesday 2 May. A public announcement of all finalists will be made via www.workforceinnovation.org.au on Wednesday 2 May.

  

Q. When did nominations close?

A. The extended deadline for nominations was 5pm Friday 16 March 2012. For more information please refer to the Nomination Form.

 

Q. Where do I explain the innovation that I’m nominating for an award?

A. Step by step instructions on how to nominate can be found on pages 6 and 7 of the Nomination Form. Step 4 outlines what should be included in the description of the innovation being nominated. This will need to be supplied as an additional attachment to your completed tear-off form on page 9.

Q. Can volunteers nominate for an award?

A. Yes, both paid and unpaid workers are eligible to nominate

 

Q. I nominated last year but didn’t win, am I eligible to nominate again?

A. Yes, all previous nominees are encouraged to nominate. In preparing your nomination, take care to include information on how your practice has progressed, achieved outcomes and demonstrated sustainability over the course of its lifespan (especially in the period since it was last nominated).

 

Q. I won last year, can I nominate again?

A. Yes, previous winners are encouraged to continue nominating their innovative practices. However, if you intend to re-nominate the same practice please take care to focus your submission on how the nominated practice has continued to progress since you received the award. Naturally, previous winners are encouraged to nominate new or different practices in the same or other categories.

 

Q. How many categories are there?

A. A total of 10 categories were originally announced for the 2012 awards, however the Young Workforce Champion category will not proceed to the judging phase due to an insufficient pool of nominations.
