The Workforce Council plays an important role in generating research questions and in identifying research gaps with our industries and sectors. We are strongly focused on evidence-based practice, which means that research findings are integrated into the work of our policy makers and practitioners.
The Workforce Council has an evolving role in connecting practice and research providing opportunities for information to be shared between the two areas. We are involved in knowledge production and framing research in the context of our member organisations. Our research engages with the workforce planning and development needs of our member organisations. Through the application of our research findings to their capacity building activities we aim to assist organisations to improve services to communities more broadly.
This research allows us grow our knowledge about workforce development and planning and to grow better practice and policy solutions for our stakeholders in the NGO, public and private sector.
