Workforce Innovation Conference & Awards

The annual Workforce Innovation Conference and Awards are an opportunity for members of Queensland's Health and Community Services sectors to come together and share knowledge, insights and ideas while working together to create new ways of meeting our diverse workforce development needs.

The conference is an opportunity to showcase the research and practice of workforce development and innovation in these two rapidly growing industries by providing a platform to explore the diversity and commonalities across these industries - creating connections, sharing knowledge and developing solutions.

The conference examines the current and future context for these industries, exploring research, government policy, practical case studies and future possibilities, with themes including:

  • Workforce planning and sustainability
  • Leadership and management
  • Recruitment and retention
  • Job role and job design
  • Career and industry pathways and promotion
  • Strategic and local partnerships and service integration models

In conjunction with the conference, the Workforce Council also coordinates the annual Workforce Innovation Awards which recognise leading workforce practice amongst Queensland's Health and Community Services sectors.
