The Minister's Awards for Excellence in Workforce Development are for non-government organisations
in the community and disability services sectors.
The awards were established by the Minister for Communities, Disability Services, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Seniors and Youth, Warren Pitt MP, as part of the Strengthening Non-Government Organisations strategy.
The purpose of the awards is to promote and celebrate innovation in workforce development and recognise the achievements of community and disability organisations striving for good practice and high standards of client service.
The award winners will be those organisations that maintain high-quality services and strengthen the capacity of the community and disability sectors through their ability to think innovatively and continuously improve their practice and organisational development.
All nominations will be entered in an Open subcategory and organisations may also be eligible for the Regional, Small Organisation and Indigenous subcategories.
Winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner on 24 October 2007 in Brisbane.
Nominations for the 2007 Awards have now closed.
