This year’s NAIDOC theme was Because of her, we can! – celebrating the essential role that women have played, and continue to play, as active and significant role models at the community, local, state and national levels.
The Health and Community Services Workforce Council celebrated NAIDOC Week by participating in a yarning circle – sharing stories and history about the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women that inspire us.
Members from our team also attended the NAIDOC Week Dinner and Dance Show held by Cooloola Aboriginal Service Incorporated in Gympie.

The Workforce Council respectfully acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the original inhabitants of Australia and recognises these unique cultures as part of the cultural heritage of all Australians. We pay our respects to the Elders of this land; past, present and future.
