The Workforce Council extends its congratulations to the winners of the 2010 Queensland Training Awards.
The Health and Community Services Industries were well-represented at the State Finals on Friday 10 September, with three of the 15 state-level awards going to members.
Now in their 49th year, the Queensland Training Awards recognise and reward the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations within the vocational education and training sector who strive for excellence, best practice and innovation.
Amongst this year's winners were:
For an outstanding Queensland school, non-school organisation or community partnership that has developed and implemented alternative training and education opportunities for school students.
For outstanding achievement in the area of vocational education and training by a Queensland business with fewer than 20 staff.
For outstanding achievement by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student within the Queensland vocational education and training sector.
