2011 Innovation Conference & Awards venue announced

The Workforce Council is pleased to announce that the second annual Health and Community Services Innovation Conference will take place 19 - 20 May 2011 at Brisbane's Sebel Citigate Hotel.

The conference will showcase innovations in workforce development research and practice within the Health and Community Services industries and serve as forum for members of these industries to share knowledge, create connections and develop solutions.

2010's event was attended by some 300 Health and Community Services delegates from across Queensland, including representatives from Government Departments, child care, disability, Indigenous health, advocacy services, aged care, hospitals, primary health care and mental health. Keynote speakers included Skills Australia's Dr Caroline Alcorso, political scientist/futurist Professor Sohail Inayatullah, Australian Business Class founder Phil Corbett, and best-selling author Dr Stephen Lundin.

The Health and Community Services Innovation Awards which recognise leading workforce practice are also incorporated into the Conference's program, taking place 19 May 2011 at the Sebel Citigate Hotel.
