22- 30 October is Children's Week; an annual celebration of the right of children to enjoy childhood.
During the week, events will be held around the country with the aim of focusing the wider community's attention on children, their needs and achievements.
In Queensland, which this year marks the 40th Anniversary of Children's Week in the state, celebrations will get underway with an official launch at Australia Zoo on Friday 21 October.
