The call for presentations and abstracts for the Health and Community Services Workforce Innovation Conference has been extended until Monday 7 February 2011.
We invite presentations and workshops which:
Workshops and presentations may explore aspects of the broad conference themes (see below) in relation to any of these areas, discussing current realities and future possibilities across health and community services.
To submit an expression of interest in presenting a paper or conducting a workshop please download the information pack (pdf) or (Word) and complete the included Call for Presentations and Abstracts forms. Submissions must be received by Monday 7 February 2011.
About the Conference
The second annual Health and Community Services Workforce Innovation Conference & Awards will take place 19 - 20 May 2011 at Brisbane's Sebel Citigate Hotel. The 2011 Innovation Conference will build upon the learning and connections of 2010 to further explore new research and practices in workforce development and innovation in our two rapidly growing industries. Ideas, knowledge, possibilities and solutions across all sectors within health and community services will form the foundation of the conference program.
The conference will examine the current and future workforce context for our industries within the following broad themes:
1. Workforce planning and sustainability
2. Leadership and management
3. Career and industry pathways and promotion
4. Innovative workforce models in response to needs and reforms
