The Workforce Council is pleased to announce that following a decision by the
Excellence in Workforce Achievement by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Organisation category panel, we are now able to announce the complete list of finalists for the 2011 Health and Community Services Workforce Innovation Awards.
Each year the Health and Community Services Workforce Innovation Awards celebrate the organisations and individuals who are leading workforce innovation within these vital industries. Awards are presented across a number of categories, recognising the organisations and individuals who are leading workforce innovation within the State, while showcasing the diverse range of strategies being used to enhance the capacity of the Health and Community Services Industries.

Award winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on 19 May at the Sebel and Citigate Hotel, Brisbane as part of the 2011 Health and Community Services Workforce Innovation Conference.
The presentation of the 2011 Workforce Innovation Awards is incorporated within the Health and Community Services Workforce Innovation Conference. The conference will examine the current and future workforce context for our industries, with presentations and workshops covering: Workforce planning and sustainability; Leadership and management; Career and industry pathways and promotion; and Innovative workforce models in response to needs and reforms.
Keynote presenters at the 2011 Health and Community Services Workforce Innovation Conference will include former Australian Democrats leader Natasha Stott Despoja, renowned social entrepreneur and award winning writer Nic Frances, emotional intelligence author and trainer Amanda Gore, creative champion and author Nigel Collin, and Skills Queensland CEO Rod Camm.
