About Skills Alliance

Skills Alliance is a project of the Health and Community Services Workforce Council and is funded by the Queensland Department of Education and Training.

It is predicted that over the next five years the Health and Community Services Industries will require the fastest rate of workforce growth of any industry in Australia. With an ageing population and unprecedented demand for services, there has never been a more critical need for a skilled and sustainable workforce in Health and Community Services. The role of Skills Alliance is to lead industry stakeholders to meet these skilling and workforce challenges.

Skills Alliance is the key advisor to the Department of Education and Training on the skilling needs of the Health and Community Services Industries in Queensland. Skills Alliance offers industry stakeholders an important opportunity to influence the training agenda of the Queensland Government.

Skills Alliance provides a range of services to industry stakeholders in Health and Community Services including:

  • Advice to Government - We are your voice to the Queensland Government on Skilling needs
  • Free industry events - Opportunities to meet other industry stakeholders to collaborate and to get feedback and support for projects
  • Training Package Advise - Up-to-date advice sourced from consultations across industries
  • Career Promotion - Support for your career promotion activities such as expos and school-industry links
  • Support for Industry Innovation - Promotion of innovative skilling and workforce initiatives
