Skills Alliance is a project of the Health and Community Services Workforce Council and is funded by the Queensland Department of Education and Training.
It is predicted that over the next five years the Health and Community Services Industries will require the fastest rate of workforce growth of any industry in Australia. With an ageing population and unprecedented demand for services, there has never been a more critical need for a skilled and sustainable workforce in Health and Community Services. The role of Skills Alliance is to lead industry stakeholders to meet these skilling and workforce challenges.
Skills Alliance is the key advisor to the Department of Education and Training on the skilling needs of the Health and Community Services Industries in Queensland. Skills Alliance offers industry stakeholders an important opportunity to influence the training agenda of the Queensland Government.

Skills Alliance offers a variety of opportunities to have your say about the industry skilling and workforce issues that affect you. Industry Skills Plan
When Skills Alliance was first established in 2007 the project published a Community Services and Health Industries Skills Plan 2007-2010. Skills Alliance provides six-monthly updates to this plan including new and emerging issues, key concerns and barriers, as well as industry initiatives.
