About Resident Support Program

The Resident Support Program Skills Development Project (RSP) is a project of the Health and Community Services Workforce Council and is funded by the Queensland Department of Communities, Disability Services. RSP skills development project aims to help build the capacity of those in the community services sector funded to work with resident Support Program clients to assist people living in private residential hostels and boarding houses with community linking and personal care.

This statewide project works with RSP funded service providers throughout Queensland to identify and prioritise workforce skills development opportunities for their staff. Using this information, the project then provides high quality and accessible skills development activities that address these needs.

The workforce development initiatives are targeted at staff from service providers that receive RSP funding through the Department of Communities, Disability Services or HACC.
