P300 is a project of the Health and Community Services Workforce Council and is funded by the Department of Communities, Disability Services.
The P300 Skills Development Project (P300) aims to build the capacity of the community-based mental health sector across Queensland. The project works with P300 program* funded service providers across Queensland to identify and prioritise workforce skills development opportunities for their staff and provides high quality and accessible skills development activities such as workshops and subsidies that respond to these needs.
The workforce development initiatives are targeted at staff from service providers that receive P300 funding through the Department of Communities, Disability Services.
There are 34 non-government organisations across Queensland which provides psychosocial rehabilitation support services to adults living with a psychiatric disability. These people have previously experienced life in long stay psychiatric institutions and are now living in the community of their choice.
* The P300 Program supports people with a psychiatric disability to transition from Queensland Health extended treatment facilities and integrate back into their communities.
