Staff Mentoring Program

The IWDS Mentoring Program will support an individual worker (mentoree) to access time working within another organisation in order to explore potential for partnerships and/or develop new expertise for use within their employing organisation.

The IWDS Mentoring Program will provide innovative opportunities for workforce development to strengthen individual, organisational and sector capacity through skill development, shared learning, experiential learning, mentoring opportunities and increased opportunities for collaboration.

Mentoring arrangements are a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 5 days. Mentoree organisations seeking to participate in the program will find it most useful to negotiate their mentoring placement with a host mentoring organisation prior to applying for the Mentoring Program subsidy through IWDS.

The IWDS will determine eligibility for subsidy based on the application. This may be less than the total amount required for the mentoring placement, in which case the Mentoree and/or the Host Mentoring Organisation will be expected to contribute the difference.
