The North Coast DSTF covers the areas of Cooloola, Noosa, Maroochy, Kilcoy, Caboolture, Pine Rivers, Caloundra and Redcliffe.

The North Coast Coalition's Vision

The North Coast Disability Sector Training Coalition believes in communities that value, and are inclusive, of people who have a range of different abilities, experience and cultures. By establishing links and building relationships we will identify the training and skill development needs of those within disability sector. We will respond to these needs by providing opportunities for quality and innovative learning. It is envisaged that this will lead to recognition of a valued and professional sector.

To achieve its vision the North Coast Training Coalition aims to:

• establish a culture in which training is valued and of a high quality
• be responsive to the needs of people with a disability, their families and carers
• be driven by the training needs of the sector
• increase awareness and raise the status and value of people with a disability and those who support them
• be inclusive by recognising diversity of perspective and experience that exists within the community
• make decisions from a factual basis
• recognise the context and framework in which disability support is delivered
• target training that is relevant, timely and reflective of needs
• be self sustaining over time
