The Disability Sector Training Fund (DSTF) coordinates high quality and accessible skills development activities for agencies funded by the Queensland Department of Communities, Disability Services for staff and volunteers as well as parents and unpaid carers across Queensland.
The DSTF is an initiative of the Health and Community Services Workforce Council and is funded by the Department of Communities, Disability Services. The activities are planned in direct response to the needs of communities across Queensland. The DSTF is based on a regional, decision making model, which develops, supports and resources ten active and effective regional Coalitions across Queensland. These Coalitions are representative of the wider disability sector.

Building on the strengths of the disability sector workforce, as well as the strengths of parents, family members and unpaid carers of people with a disability is the aim of the DSTF.
