Partners and Stakeholders

Collaboration

The HSFS is enabling, linking and facilitating collaboration across the health industry in Queensland. The fundamental aim of the HSFS is to bring stakeholders together to collaborate on workforce development issues. All work undertaken by the HSFS is done through a collaborative approach with stakeholders to ensure relevance and sustainability and to build the capacity of the industry to continue to work together to enhance its capabilities.

Stakeholders

In progressing the key activities and initiatives of the HSFS partnerships are established with and between health industry and education and training stakeholders through a range of mechanisms such as industry forums, working groups, focus groups, advisory and network entities. This facilitates activities and initiatives to be driven by industry stakeholders and sectors.

A range of mechanisms have been established to enable industry to lead workforce initiatives and activities within the HSFS which include:

  • Formalised and informalised networks such as Industry Leaders Group and  Education and Training Network
  • Facilitation of industry forums, workshops and focus groups/sessions
  • Industry working groups and sub groups
  • Industry workforce showcase opportunities such as Healthforce bulletin and industry forums
  • Linking in with existing initiatives/programs/networks to enhance capacity

Establishing Lasting Linkages

Activities and initiatives of the HSFS are designed to facilitate sustainable outcomes. Activities and initiatives will continue to address the workforce needs of the industry into the future, steered by the networks and partnerships established throughout the HSFS project period. Three formal networks are currently in place to support relevant activities of the HSFS.

Industry Leaders Group

The Health Industry Leaders Group is a cross representative forum established as part of the HSFS to champion key initiatives with the shared purpose of improving health care through a sustainable and innovative workforce. This comprehensive multi-sectoral representative group is committed to utilising their knowledge, expertise, networks and resources at a local, state and national level to work together to ensure we have a range of short, medium and long term workforce solutions to support our health system. The Health Industry Leaders Group provides oversight and steerage to the work of the HSFS. View the Health Industry Leaders Group Brochure.

Education and Training Network

The Education and Training Network will support the facilitation of flexible, effective and innovative education and training strategies to enable a sustainable and responsive workforce in Queensland. The work of the Education and Training Network is guided by the Health Industry Leaders Group.
