The first stage of the Gold Coast Workforce Partnership Initiative (GCWPI) was a short-term project of the Gold Coast Primary Care Partnership Council (GCPC) to develop a cross sectoral workforce plan for the primary health and community sectors on the Gold Coast.
The collaborative development of the cross-sectoral workforce plan was coordinated by the Health and Community Services Workforce Council between March and July 2010 in partnership with GCPC, the GCPC Workforce Advisory Group and key stakeholders in the primary health and community services industry on the Gold Coast. Following the development of the plan, GCPC continues to implement the actions and recommendations of the plan, through the GCPC Workforce Advisory Group and key partnerships. The GCPC Workforce Advisory Group meets monthly to monitor and develop activities arising from the plan.
