The Child Protection Skills Formation Strategy (CPSFS) is a completed Initiative of the Health and Community Services Workforce Council which was funded by the Queensland Departments of Child Safety and of Education, Training and the Arts.
In 2008 the Child Protection industry worked together to plan the development of a future workforce, capable of meeting the needs of Queensland children.
The Child Protection Skills Formation Strategy yielded a report outlining the conduct and findings of a significant industry engagement strategy within the child protection industry in Queensland. The report concentrates, through survey findings, on the non-government organisations which participated within the industry, as well as information provided by recruitment decision-makers who participated in eight regional forums conducted across Queensland between May and August 2008.
