Our Initiatives

Our workforce initiatives reflect the Workforce Council's commitment to leading workforce innovation by engaging in authentic collaborative practices in the Health and Community Services Industry. These initiatives provide the Health and Community Services Industry with an opportunity to have a voice and directly shape workforce development strategies to ensure a sustainable workforce. These opportunities are available at a number of levels:

  • Organisations can input into the provision of professional development in their region through participating in sector specific regional networks

  • Organisations and industry stakeholders can influence the education and training agenda by participating in consultative forums and surveys through a range of organisational projects and initiatives such as Skills Alliance Project

  • Organisations and industry stakeholders can participate in shaping targeted workforce development strategies by participating in projects such as skills formation strategies

  • Organisations can support their own workforce development by supporting their staff to attend workforce development activities.
