The Health Sector VET Engagement Working Party came together, through the Workforce Council stakeholder network, to address the knowledge gap in VET pathways for health and community services careers.
Recognising that there are many opportunities and entry points for individuals to commence or continue their careers, the main objective of this project was to demonstrate the versatility of VET qualifications and the diversity of careers available in health and community services, while focusing in-particular on information that schools would find helpful when preparing Senior Secondary Students to consider their subject selection and post-school study path. We identified 9 careers that were considered ‘popular’ choices, requiring clarity on information, or areas of future job growth.
