Child Protection Skills Formation Strategy

Between 2006 and 2008 the Child Protection industry worked together to plan the development of a future workforce, capable of meeting the needs of Queensland children. The Child Protection Skills Formation Strategy was funded by the Queensland Departments of Child Safety and of Education, Training and the Arts, and managed by the Health & Community Services Workforce Council.

Skills Formation Strategies are a Queensland government initiative designed to examine how an industry can attract, develop and train a skilled workforce. They provide a framework for whole of industry collaboration in examining workforce issues and planning and implementing strategies to address these issues.
