Vision Capacity Building

The Vision

To enhance the quality of life of all Queenslanders through the development and monitoring of training systems that will enhance the skills and capacity of the workforce.

This vision is achieved through providing leadership, innovation, information and assistance to relevant stakeholders, industry organisations, workplaces and education and training providers and consultants around workforce development, skills recognition and training.

The Commitment

Is to work collaboratively at local regional and statwide levels by:

  • Creating alliances, collaborations and connections that enhance credibility;
  • Being a voice to influence government, industry, work and training policy and by;
  • Creating opportunities for community skilling through developing the capacity and quality of our workforce.
The Outcomes

The needs of the industries form the basis upon which we act. Outcomes are focussed on building capacity within the industries through:

  • workforce development and planning;
  • creating opportunities for young people and existing workers;
  • industry developed qualifications and competencies;
  • identification and mapping of career and training pathways; and
  • the use of local, regional and industry alliances.
Participating in the Future

We seek to engage with our industries to build a better future for the whole community. We encourage all contributors to the industries:

  • Paid, volunteer and governance
  • government, private and community
  • employers and unions
  • regional and urban

to work with us in supporting the development of a diverse, skilled and stable workforce.
