Our Strategic Direction

As a peak body working closely with our industries and industry partners, the Health and Community Services Workforce Council is in a prime position to lead and support the sustainability of our industries through contemporary and responsive workforce practices. In order to achieve this Workforce Council has identified four key areas for focus between 2010 and 2013. 

 

The Workforce Council will:

 

  • Deliver innovative workforce products and services including consultancies covering a range of areas such as  workforce planning and development, training and assessment, development of workforce resources and facilitation of engagement practices to support workforce strategies
  • Lead and influence strategic reforms impacting on the Health and Community Services Industries
  • Work close with the health industry to drive and enable workforce change
  • Lead by example through innovating and integrating our own workforce systems and practices including measures to:   
    • Support staff wellbeing
    • Ensure an inclusive workplace
    • Deliver participatory change management approaches
    • Use new technologies
    • Embrace an evidence based approach to practice and research
