The Workforce Council Board

The Workforce Council is governed by a 12 member Board, which exercise the powers and meets the obligations of its constitution and relevant legislation. The Board is elected by its Industries Reference Group (IRG) to represent the health and community services industries in Queensland. This includes:

  • Unions
  • Employer groups
  • Peak bodies
  • Indigenous organisations and organisations working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • Organisations working in remote and regional areas
  • General organisational members

The Workforce Council Board hosts a number of consultative forums across the state each year to ensure that our industries and industry partners are playing a key role in guiding the strategic direction of the Health and Community Services Workforce Council. During these forums the Board seeks feedback from individuals, organisations and Government bodies.
